Not much to tell. 39 year old Aussie, single mum. Diagnosed with ADHD at 38 years, after 21 years of being told I was depressed and anxious… I have a daughter who is autistic and has ADHD, whose diagnosis prompted me to explore my own re-diagnosis. The title 20/20 Retrospect is taken from the fact that my ADHD diagnosis was performed retrospectively, that is, my psychiatrist needed to ask my mother questions about what I was like as a child and see if those traits were consistent with that of an ADHD diagnosis. And as for 20/20, we all have better, clearer vision of life events after the fact. I hope you enjoy my ramblings, and if not, feel free to keep scrolling.
